ACORN solution - Get your own ASS out and register

This whole ACORN voter registration fraud is pretty easy to stop. Just disqualify all registrations from ACORN or any other voter registration group for that matter.

Oh but you say, Sir Jager, "they [ACORN] are out for social justice or people who can't register otherwise," B.u.l.l.s.h.*.t.o.r.a.m.a!

A group like ACORN is out to wreak havoc on the very system that our country is based. What company hires identity theft felons to go out and solicit voter registration. And yes this is solicitation which is not illegal but sure is frowned on in most places. Then they complain about, "We're do everything we can to stop registration fraud." Can you say "laaaoooossseerrr" [Ace Ventura].

So how will ALL these disenfranchised people get registered to vote? Hey, here's a thought - they need to get off their ass and go register! That's what I did.

So here's the deal people:

1. If you are too lazy to get YOURSELF registered, then you probably shouldn't be voting. I mean you've only had 3 years 11 months to do this.
2. If you physically cannot get out to register, then I am sure your caretaker or whoever feeds you can certainly get you registered.
Simple

Hey ACORN have you thought about this. If the people you are running around trying to get registered are too lazy to register anyway and you have to do it for them, do you really think they are capable of getting themselves to the polls to vote?

Bottom line:
Disqualify all groups like ACORN voter registrations.
If you want to vote, get off your ass and go register.

The definition of Acorn in the dictionary is "a nut"

I welcome all comments especially those who disagree!

Dear Republicans:

- Stop the mass purging of voter registration rolls

- Stop the mass "caging" of minority and student voters

- Stop pushing for strict photo ID laws that disenfranchise millions of Democratic-leaning voters

- Stop telling African-American voters if they lose their home, they lose their right to vote

- Stop telling college students they'll lose their student aid if they register to vote

- Stop smearing ACORN

- Stop the myth of "voter fraud"

- Stop stealing our elections through electronic voting machines

A voter has to have some ID whether that's considered disenfranchisement on not. Who cares. Voting is a responsibility and it shouldn't be taken so lightly. If people want to vote and are serious about it they should get with their Board of Elections and register through them. That's what I did and it seems to be working fine. People milling about at bus stops and grocery stores need to find some other constructive thing to do that will do more good for the community. Making someone register 73 times is not only a waste of everyone's time, it's illegal. ACORN needs to go.

I agree with jager. If ACORN is legitimate and they are the ONLY way for people to register, why didn't the rest of Americans use them to register to vote? Oh, because there is already an organization for you to register with. And it is run by the government, so you can ensure you get your vote! Isn't it that simple? ACORN should be shut down, and all voter registrations disqualified. If you did register with ACORN, then register again at your local municipal office. If you cannot travel to the office, most states have the registration form online for you to print, fill out, and mail in. Its only hard to do if you aren't willing to take the time and do it. AND if you aren't willing to take the time and fill it out for yourself, then don't vote. Thank you jager for trying to put some sense back in the world!
